Hello Backers!
As you can see it's starting to look quite pretty. As you can see if you look closely, there are still some quality issues with the pieces. Most of the issues left to solve are about trying our best with the existing silicon mold process and available materials, to make the best version we can. It will simply never be as durable as injection molded plastic or a 3D print, but we can still make small design tweaks to reduce chipping and breaking.
The quality of what you feel in your hand is GREAT. Like the difference between a high quality poker chip vs plastic ones. But it still needs to be improved to stand up to the rigorous gameplay we expect you will be doing.
We're happy to field any questions you may have. It is time to advise you that it is possible that we will exceed our March-April delivery timeframe depending on what is needed to ensure a quality product, but I'm happy to show you the progress we have made and I hope you feel that you were right to support us. We can't wait to get it into your hands, but we also are trying to maximize the value you feel you are getting when it arrives.

Final Prototype Pieces ready for Mass Production!

Thanks for your patience as we finish getting all the elements ready for mass production...
Our friends at WinGo Games have finished their first pass at prototyping for our final pieces. Here's a first look at the pieces for our Kickstarter edition of Tournament of Towers!

Hello Backer Friends!
We just received our funding from Kickstarter! It's a milestone day.
We have already begun digging in and finalizing elements of our 3D designs with the manufacturer to hopefully ensure an issue-free production prototype. We are making some minor adjustments and problem-solving a few pieces as we transfer our production method from 3D printing to a mold-based method that is better for larger scale production. (It took over 6 months to print all of the pieces we used in making 10 sets of the 3D printed prototype!)
Also on our to-do list:
- Update cover and internal layout art for the rulebook
- Reshape our box to optimize it for shipping
- Add art to the interior lining
- Add art to the back of the box
We have also enlisted Backerkit to help us keep track of all of you busy people who live your lives, move places, and do things other than hold still.
They also have made it possible for us to accept pre-orders of our game since we may just so happen to have some extra copies when this is all said and done.
So, all that to say, for those wondering if we took the money and ran to Venezuela, no way! I mean, Jeff is contemplating taking a TRIP TO CHINA just to make sure this all goes as smoothly as possible with our manufacturer. Talk about the extra mile. God speed, Jeff. Team Iron Hippo is going the distance. If Jeff does make the trip, he is going to send a random backer a postcard from China to prove it!
