How many players can play the game?
One copy of the game can accommodate up to 4 different players or teams. HOWEVER, if you have two copies, the game perfectly scales up to 8 different players!
We have found this version of the game to be a total blast. You get some unique combinations and towers that you wouldn’t get otherwise since now you have TWO of each Gold piece to potentially work as well as EIGHT copies of each Stone piece! It becomes a massive tournament fit for the King and Queen to observe with pride!

Can I order multiple copies?
Yes, absolutely! The “FESTIVAL OF THE PEOPLE” reward tier is a two-pack at $89 (plus shipping for each copy as listed in the shipping section). Because the game is so large and heavy, we can’t really ship multiple copies bundled together, so there is no savings on shipping costs for shipping multiple copies to the same place.
HOWEVER, if you are interested in more than 2 copies of the game, please direct message us! We may be able to ship them to you in a more cost efficient manner. Each additional 2-pack will be $89 plus shipping initially, and we’ll be able to credit you for any shipping savings we’re able to achieve once we sort through the logistics of the larger order. If you can be patient with us, we’ll make it worth your while! :)

What is the age appropriateness of Tournament of Towers?
We’ve marked the game as 6+ though we like to say the game is enjoyable for people from ages 3 to 103! (People older than 103 can still enjoy it equally, but this had a nice ring to it!)
The rules can easily scale to as many or as few pieces/cards as you like, so you really can’t go wrong. The hardcore gamers in us like to stick to strict placement rules, using the event die, and having no mercy! But hey, each crowd is different and this is meant to work for all crowds. Have fun your way!

I am not able to use Kickstarter. Is there still a way to secure a copy of the game?
If you absolutely cannot use Kickstarter, we can use PayPal as a last resort. Please contact us directly to arrange this.

Are there Kickstarter exclusives?
Yes! If we reach our $100,000 Stretch Goal, all copies of the game will come with 4 additional stone pieces shaped with the signature Kickstarter K!

Why will it take so long to receive my rewards?
As we’ve learned from preparing for a project of this scale and observing other projects, plastic pieces take time to get right. We’ve been working on polishing the Tournament of Towers prototype pieces for over a year now, and they’re close to production-ready. But lots of unexpected things can happen during production. So while we hope to deliver in as early as November 2017, we’ve conservatively estimated March/April 2018 as the delivery time.

Why are the shipping costs so high?
Tournament of Towers is a fairly heavy game, and shipping rates are quite expensive these days! Many of us are spoiled silly by the ease of Amazon Prime free shipping that the sticker shock associated with something like this can be scary. We were surprised ourselves when we saw how expensive it was!
We assure you, we did everything we could to limit the shipping costs as much as possible, and if we send copies to a location where the shipping ends up costing less than what we have requested at checkout, we will seek you out directly and find a way to reimburse you in a reasonable way! We want this game in your hands!

Will there be a pledge manager?
We do not plan to use a pledge manager as we personally want to ensure you get what you ordered!
Last updated: May 15, 2017 23:40
Are there retailer pledge levels?
There are not. But we love our Friendly Local Game Stores! We know that some retailers want to stock the full Kickstarter version, including stretch goals, at distributor pricing. If you’re a retailer, please contact us directly at: [email protected].

Will the game be available in other languages?
We have played this game with people from many different countries who don’t share a common language, and it has gone great!
We hope the community will help translate our rules to different languages as demand becomes apparent. We will then carry a basic rule sheet as a downloadable PDF for that language on our website.

Can I add extra copies after the Kickstarter campaign? Will the Kickstarter edition be available in retail?
Additional copies will be available through our website for pre-order once the campaign ends. We’ll raise the price after the campaign ends to reflect the total contents with all stretch goals. Backers and Non-Backers alike will be able to pre-order retail copies at that updated price from our website: www.ironhippo.com. We’ll just be selling the retail version from then on to customers, distributors, and retailers.
Last updated: May 15, 2017 23:40
Is there anything else we should know?
We prefer to ship to addresses where someone can personally receive the game during the day, whether it’s a work, home, friend, or neighbor’s address. The point of this is to prevent theft due to a package sitting on someone’s front porch all day.

What happens if my game box arrives damaged?
We work with fulfillment centers that pack our games really well, but damage to the box occasionally does occur in the shipping process. Our standing policy is that we ask people to send us a photo of the damage. If it’s a small ding, dent, or scratch, we’ll send a partial reimbursement ($5-$15, depending on the damage). If it’s pretty bad, we’ll send a replacement box, though we greatly prefer not to–if we take the box off of another game, that’s $50 or more that we’ve just reduced to replacement parts.

Last Updated At: 06/20/18What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
